Arjen miehet

Arjen miehet/Regular men is a joint project between Ville Elonheimo and Jaap Klevering, combining poetry and soundscape. The result is stark and poetic, stripped-down and concise, bright and bare, sensitive and funny.

Ville draws inspiration from people around the clock. Some of his poems are short and snappy, like photographs, descriptions of a moment, while others drift further, exploring life from within and without self-pity.

Jaap creates improvised soundscapes with human voice and effects devices and loopers, which merge with the poems. The soundscape combines crippled and brutish moments into the most harmonious sound.
