Sounds Cafè
Artistic research project looking for good sound design in the public- and work environment of a cafetaria.
This is an applied art project. Concept and direction, Jaap Klevering.
First project took place between august and december 2017 with funding from the Arts Promotion Centre Finland.
The aim is to establish a relation between soundscapes and wellbeing while paying attention to how soundscapes effect wellbeing and how wellbeing effects soundscapes.
The Sounds Café offers a sound menu that customers can choose from. Sound snacks are served by sound cooks who also take care of the sound laundry.
There are local as well as exotic sound snacks.
This is a participatory and local community art project. Together with Individuals from that community we collect, record and compose sounds, serve the sound snacks and keep the Sounds café running.
